The Latest: Kudlow apologizes for saying Haley was confused

Source: Houston Chronicle

Updated 7:24 pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2018

In this April 13, 2018, photo, Nikki Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, speaks during a Security Council meeting at United Nations headquarters. Haley is firing back against a Trump administration official who said she was suffering from "momentary confusion" when she announced new sanctions against Russia were imminent, saying, "With all due respect, I don't get confused." A striking intra-administration quarrel splayed out in public when National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow told reporters Tuesday that Haley "got ahead of the curve" when she said the U.S. would be slapping sanctions on Russia on Monday. PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — The Latest on possible U.S. sanctions against Russia (all times local):

8:15 p.m.

Trump administration official Larry Kudlow has apologized to U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley after suggesting she was suffering from "momentary confusion" when she announced new sanctions against Russia were imminent.

A White House official says the National Economic Council director called Haley to apologize Tuesday afternoon. Haley issued a terse statement to Fox News, saying, "With all due respect, I don't get confused."

..............

The official says Haley was unaware that the administration's plans to impose fresh sanctions on Russia over its support of the Syrian government had been put on hold. The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to describe private discussions.

She may be the only sane and relatively competent appointee.

caving of sanctions against Russia instead of allowing Trump to admit he was the one to reverse his decision. So out goes Kucklow and makes up this--she was confused story!! But Haley shot back. and now all of a sudden Kucklow is apologizing.

Trump does this to pit one against another, and to undermine them making them look weaker. He intentionally says the opposite to piss them off, and to demean them. Haley should tell him to F off and run for the top position against him. She is one of the few who has done better , and that bothers him because of his insecurities. If she stays she loses credibility , and allows him to continue doing this to her, because he will.

Haley ought to tender her resignation in a very vocal public manner. She's got to know she's a short-timer, one way or the other.
