Federal judge finds Kris Kobach in contempt of court

Source: Topeka Capital-Journal

U.S. District Court Judge Julie Robinson has found Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach in contempt for failing to comply with her orders in a lawsuit over the state’s voter registration law.

Robinson didn’t impose a fine but ordered Kobach to pay for damages caused by his failure to comply, including attorney fees.

Robinson in 2016 issued a temporary injunction blocking enforcement of the state’s proof of citizenship requirements, but the state continued to send notices to new applicants telling them they wouldn’t be allowed to vote. Before the November 2016 elections, Kobach told Robinson that counties would send postcards to notify those affected that they would be allowed to participate.

However, his elections director, Bryan Caskey, testified he never was told about the postcards promise and didn’t given written instructions for counties to comply.

They watched as a group of rightwing gun nuts took over a park with little reprocussions. Red state lawmakers are going to do whatever they want to knowing nothing will be done about it. If a judge makes a ruling and they don't comply then they need be arrested and go to prison.

and wants to bring back the same tax reduction plan as brownbutt had.
I believe the idiots wants to exempt ks businesses from paying...which
put kansas where it is now...short of revenue...Same type of deal
as the new tax laws...looks good for awhile, peoples taxes are reduced,
but later down the road revenue shortages will cause taxes to go up.
All because people still fall for the 'trickle down' concept.

It's truly scary when you see shit bags like KKKobach and Hartman teaming up to destroy this State.

I don't know one person that doesn't hold him in contempt.

In related news, he is also contemptible.

Why isn’t he scared of two years in prison for every person‘s civil rights that he has violated. But then again I think Jeff Bush and Catherine Harris should still be looking for a place to land that Won’t extradite
