Russia: We told US where in Syria they could not bomb

Source: SKY NEWS

Moscow claims it outlined its "red lines" to US officials before the strikes were launched last weekend.

11:08, UK,
Friday 20 April 2018

Russia has revealed it warned the US about "red lines" it should not cross before it launched airstrikes on Syria.

Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov is reported to have said that officials in Washington were contacted before last weekend's strikes by the US, UK and France.

Mr Lavrov said: "There were military leadership contacts, between generals, between our representatives and the coalition leadership.

"They were informed about where our red lines are, including red lines on the ground, geographically. And the results show that they did not cross these red lines."

Some 105 missiles were launched in response to a suspected chemical attack in the Syrian city of Douma on 7 April that killed more than 40 people.

But the way it SHOULD be handled is "If Assad uses chem weapons, we are going to destroy their Air Force. Now that you're aware of that, use your influence to make sure it doesnt happen, or get your troops out of the way after a chem attack. If you DONT, then its on YOU if you have Russian losses"

We are not at war with Russia. (Technically, we are not at war with Syria, either)

Why would we want to kill Russian nationals? If the Russians bombed areas where we had people, and killed a few of them, would we not be outraged? Does it not make sense that the Russians would do us the courtesy of telling us where our ordnance would not kill Russians? Especially as the whole attack was nothing more than a piece of political theatre?

All’s fair in love and war. How many innocent civilians were killed by Russians, Assad or the US?

Well, we are neither in love nor at war with Russia.

As for "innocent civilians," get real. As long as they can't retaliate, neither we, Russia, nor Assad care how many are killed. But kill one of "ours," and the shit flies.

John Barron, or David Dennison, or whatever he wants to call himself today, performed another theatrical act by bombing useless targets in Syria, just like the last time, except this one was even more costly to the taxpayer in that we launched a hundred missiles instead of sixty two. This game of charades was ludicrous and does not impress me in the least. The actual targets were removed prior to the strike and the “red lines” established by his buddy Vald were understood in advance. I’m sure they both had a toast afterwards to another successful con - the “fart” of the con.
