Greitens charged with second felony after AG investigation into veterans charity

Source: The Kansas City Star

Gov. Eric Greitens was charged Friday with felony computer tampering stemming from his use of a veterans charity’s donor list ahead of the 2016 election.

The charge — which is essentially electronic theft— is the second felony indictment of the governor in two months. He goes to trial next month for invasion of privacy.

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's office said it found probable cause that the governor violated the state's criminal statute.

The embattled first-term governor and former Navy SEAL has denied any criminal wrongdoing and vowed to remain in office despite a chorus of Republicans calling for him to resign or face impeachment.

That unearths more the corruption that is the GOP, followed by some guilty verdicts.

He should have been gone already. Only the criminally insane republicans support him.

Neither trial has begun and the general assembly is considering a special session for impeachment. Every single republican on the committee believed her when they heard testimony from the woman he assaulted. He's toast with them. Their problem now is whether he is going to drag them down with him. He is too self absorbed to have loyalty to his colleagues to try to help them out.

well as the repug.-controlled state congress. Man, the repugs must be running scared to indict / convict one of their own (the repug governor).

Why can't this happen to tRUMP too! At least I give credit to the MO repugs, that are doing dems in MO a service too.

Maybe a side benefit that will happen is that other repugs in other states see what is happening to the MO governor, and start getting some balls too to do something about tRUMP's illegal electioneering w/ the Russians and more probably w/ financial fraud in there somewhere.

Oh well, we can always dream...

It is a known fact that he switched parties because he didn't think he could beat the expected Democratic candidate for governor. Like Trump, he has no consistent beliefs or moral compass. When he was first checking out the political scene, he was a delegate for Obama in 2008. He is everything that is wrong with politics. Especially having the hubris to run and expect to ride out the kind of baggage he knew he had. So much more ugly about him that it's impossible to fully summarize.
