Broward County sheriff receives no confidence vote from police union

The Florida sheriff who oversaw the response into the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School earlier this year received a no-confidence from a police union on Thursday.
The Broward Sheriff's Office Deputies Association voted 534-94 to express no confidence in Sheriff Scott Israel, asking Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) to remove him from office.

Tension has been brewing between Israel and his deputies in the wake of the shooting in Parkland, Fla., which took the lives of 17 people in February.
Israel has been slammed for his department's failure to prevent the shooting despite having numerous red flags.
