Rudy Giuliani called the attorney representing adult film star Stormy Daniels a "pimp" on Friday, the latest jab in a feud between the lawyers over the actress's claims she had an affair with President Trump.
Giuliani, the latest addition to Trump's legal team, told Business Insider he wouldn't accept Michael Avenatti's challenge to a debate because he has been "pimping for money."
"I don't get involved with pimps," he said.
"The media loves to give him room because he makes these roundabout charges and they turn out to mean nothing. I think he's going to get himself in serious trouble," he added.

(12,595 posts)When I went to law school, they told us that when the facts weren't on your side, argue the law, and when the law wasn't on your side, argue the facts.
Apparently at Giuliani's law school they taught that when neither the facts nor law is on your side, you call the opposing lawyer names.

"If the rise of Bernard B. Kerik under the mentorship of Rudolph W. Giuliani was meteoric, the speed of his fall was breathtaking."
"In December 2004, President Bush nominated Mr. Kerik, a former New York police commissioner, to head the federal Department of Homeland Security. Seven days later, Mr. Kerik withdrew as a nominee.
A cascade of questions followed about his judgment as a public official, not least that he had inappropriately lobbied city officials on behalf of Interstate Industrial, a construction firm suspected of links to organized crime. Mr. Giuliani defended Mr. Kerik, a friend and business partner, whom he had recommended to the Bush administration. But he also tried to shield himself from accusations that he had ignored Mr. Keriks failings.
'I was not informed of it,' Mr. Giuliani said then, when asked if he had been warned about Mr. Keriks relationship with Interstate before appointing him to the police post in 2000."
What Michael Avenatti is doing is called representing his client.

(58,785 posts)I've thought that, if she were paying an attorney who's also a professional talking for all the hours he's spent on TV becoming a national figure, she'd be far dumber than I take her for.
But the implications of this headline are far broader, of course. Typical undermining-by-headline, the media involved knowing most people who see them will not open and read further. The NYT (and many other media with reputations for respectability, including The Hill of course) used this insidious ploy every day on Hillary.
