[Adelson's]Sands' ties to Macau gambling figure draw scrutiny

Source: Reuters

SAN FRANCISCO/MACAU | Fri Aug 24, 2012 7:28pm EDT
(Reuters) - Las Vegas Sands (LVS.N) allowed a man identified by the U.S. Senate as an organized crime figure to move a $100,000 gambling credit from a Las Vegas casino to one of its Macau casinos, according to documents that emerged in the wake of a lawsuit filed by a former Sands employee.

The cooperation with an alleged crime boss could draw the attention of Nevada gambling regulators, who are charged with stopping casinos from bringing "disrepute" on the state, at a time when Sands is the focus of several government investigations.

Sands, controlled by billionaire and prominent Republican party donor Sheldon Adelson, is under investigation by U.S. and Nevada regulators for payments that raised bribery concerns under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Evidence in a wrongful termination lawsuit by a former Sands China chief executive spurred the probes.

An internal list of customer accounts reviewed by Reuters shows a $100,000 credit moved from Sands' Venetian Las Vegas to the Sands Macao on January 31, 2009, for Charles Heung Wah Keung.

BIG TIME...and tied into SCUM...

But, he's "innocent until proven Guilty.....unlike Bradley Manning and Julian Assange.

The BIG GUYS...just seem to have a "different" legal system than the "Small Fry" who can't afford the Lawyers who are "inbred with the PTB."

So..it will end up "Much ado about Nothing" with Adelson no matter how angry those of us are about his "use of the system...for his own benefit" for decades.

http://asianfanatics.net/forum/topic/8115-which-celebs-are-tied-to-the-triads/

Which celebs are tied to the triads?

As they tell it in HK -- there are the bad triads and there are the good triads. Once the film industry started making money hand over fist in the 80's and early 90's many triads began moving into the business -- often using unsavory and violent tactics to force actors or directors to work for them.

Charles Heung's brother Jimmy is a top triad figure in HK -- but he is considered a 'good triad'. Both of these brothers apparently truly love film. It's right out of a Damon Runyon story. Charles is a producer as well but has also been acting in films since the early 70s. His best known role was as the God of Gambler's bodyguard in parts I and II. Some other films were Arrest the Restless, Prince of Temple Street and Casino Raiders.

His brother Jimmy stuck to producing and some of his many films are the God of Gambler series, Casino Raiders, Lee Rock, Royal Tramp, Crazy Safari, the Fight Back to School series, King of Beggars, Kung Fu Cult Master, The Last Hero in China and Handsome Siblings. Not a bad filmography for a triad!

Charles Heung Wah-Keung is a Hong Kong actor-turned-film producer and presenter. As founder of Win's Entertainment in the 1980s and China Star Entertainment Group in the 1990s, he has helped established the careers of various cinematic icons in Hong Kong that include Stephen Chow, Chow Yun-fat, Johnnie To, Jet Li and Andy Lau among countless others.

In the 1970s, Charles subsequently married Betty Ting, the actress, who is remembered today primarily because of the "mysterious" death of Bruce Lee in her apartment. The marriage, however did not last, and Charles later married Tiffany Chen, in the early 1980s.

Charles is the older brother of Jimmy Heung, who later became his partner in the formation of Win's Entertainment. The partnership between the two ended in 1992.
