Democrats won't get data on Trump campaign intelligence source

Source: MSN/Roll Call

WASHINGTON — Democrats will be shut out of a White House-brokered meeting during which Justice Department officials will tell two House GOP chairmen about an intelligence source who provided information about President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump asked White House chief of staff John Kelly to set up the meeting, which comes after Justice officials have for months been reluctant to hand over any information on the matter to Republican members. The order to broker the meeting, slated for Thursday, came after Trump met Monday with FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, a session the president on Tuesday described as “routine.”

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday ticked off the expected attendees when asked about the session during her semi-daily press briefing. She did not read off the name of a single Democratic lawmaker.

“The individuals that are expected to attend are Chairman Nunes, Chairman Gowdy, FBI Director Wray, [Director of National Intelligence Dan] Coats, and DOJ official Ed O’Callaghan,” she said, referring to House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes., R-Calif., and House Government and Oversight Reform Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.

president had tried something such as this, shutting out the other party? Any information should be treated as null and void since it will be all one sided. Nunes is a toady, tRump boot licker. He is trying to keep his own dirty dealings covered up.

We will see the results in the finished pudding Mueller gives us. We are anxiously awaiting Nunes' next bit of insanity, though. What will he come up with next?

You see, we know these guys are the most uptight, by the book, straight and narrow, old-school Ivy-league Repub lawyer types in the world and you guys are eating your own with these stupid character assassination schoolyard tactics. You're effectively purging Washington of your own party's bureaucrats. The ones that didn't just slip you five bucks to get on the Orange Julius gravy train. I'm fairly confident their own incompetence will find those out of jobs in short order and you and all your pu**y grabber possee in the pokey...without Twitter.

Saved me the trouble.

Can't wait to see if Nunes announces he's suspending his campaign tomorrow or Friday.

They will out the informant - and I think, just think - there are going to be pearls about Nunes in there.

He's seriously dirty.

Is it not possible for the FBI to simply give the same info the the Dems?

Is there some rule that says only select members can have such info - exclusive of that which pertains to security and assuming members serve on the appropriate committee- ?
