Advocating heinous beliefs is bad; attempting to use force to interrupt the exclamations of same heinous beliefs loses on two fronts- it establishes or strengthens a precedent and it energizes the other side, particularly those looking for a fight. Massive peaceful counter protests simply work better, no matter HOW much one might deeply long to punch Nazis. Thousands of people showing up peacefully is more demoralizing to them than a few dozen of our side trading punches and throwing shit - that they know how to deal with and enjoy the fight.
