ALAMEDA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Henry Sintay was apparently filmed back at the lake, picking items from the water

A California jogger filmed dumping a homeless man's belongings in a lake is accused of stealing a bystander's phone as he recorded him a day later.

Oakland city police arrested Henry Sintay, 30, on Monday on suspicion of robbery after he was apparently filmed in a fracas at the same location.

Onlooker Matt Nelson shared the video on Facebook and said Mr Sintay had taken his phone during a tussle.

Mr Sintay has not been charged over removing the homeless man's camp.

the homeless man's pathetic belongings. As he is.

I am very sorry to read that he was not arrested for that despicable (and surely illegal?) action in addition to stealing from someone else.

Maybe because he stopped to attack a homeless person's stuff and steal the phone of someone filming him?

Sounds like a crazy criminal to me. The fact that he was running doesn't make him a jogger. But anyway, at least some people got my humor.

I was trying to figure out if that was a crime - I suppose it could be vandalism or theft also, though the belongings might not be worth anything, they are still belongings.
