Comey Broke From FBI Procedures in Clinton Probe, Watchdog Finds

Former FBI Director James Comey “deviated” from FBI and Justice Department procedures in handling the probe into Hillary Clinton, damaging the law enforcement agencies’ image of impartiality even though he wasn’t motivated by political bias, the department’s watchdog found in a highly anticipated report.

“While we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comey’s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice,” Inspector General Michael Horowitz said in the report’s conclusions, which were obtained Thursday by Bloomberg News.

Horowitz’s report examined actions taken by top officials before the 2016 election, including the handling of the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server when she was secretary of state. The investigation expanded to touch on an array of politically sensitive decisions by officials including Comey and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

The Report came out today and said Comey's actions "negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice." My point is that nothing Comey did hurt Trump or implies that Trump was wrongfully investigated. What Comey did was hurt Hillary's chances of being elected.

Why would we not point out the truth when Trump is going to misrepresent the import of this report?

tRump wants focus off Mueller Investigation and buddies Cohen and Manafort..
Don't play into their hand....we can deal with the little things once we are no longer held hostage by tRump and Putin.

when Avenatii and Allred bring this sexual predator in for questioning now that Allred was given the green light this coming January, and Avenatti has requested that Cohen hand over information to dispose the both of them and the former attorney him and ask for papers.

This Comey item can be dealt with later..................he new better, and that was a problem, and the republicans Congress that was involved in that fiasco also...................they will be held accountable this coming November election, we need to take back the House and gain a majority in the Senate..................this country is in danger of collapsing.................history has shown that it can be done..................to have a despot...................

November 2018 cannot get here fast enough...................145 days to go

Was he being pressured by Rudy and the NYFO? He should have said nothing in July and nothing in October and nothing in November. That would have been equal and fair treatment.

Comey - and Rudy - talk too much.

Not sure whether the article is badly written, but it's too vague and unclear and leaves room for interpretation for those who say the FBI helped Clinton (yes, there are idiots who think that).

...this report describes incidents that probably cost Hilary the Presidency.

It gives nothing to Trump and his allies in their attempt to discredit Mueller.
