EU's Juncker Says Trump Called Him a 'Brutal Killer' at G-7

Source: Bloomberg

European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker said he was labeled a “killer” by U.S. President Donald Trump at a tumultuous Group of Seven summit in Canada.

“Trump told me last week ‘you are a brutal killer,”’ Juncker, a Luxembourger, told the Bavarian Parliament in Munich on Thursday.

“That’s the first time that Luxembourg has grown into such a threat to the U.S.,” Juncker added. “I think he meant it as a compliment, but I’m not so sure.”

The comments by the president of the European Union’s executive arm illustrate the confusion that Trump is sowing among U.S. allies with his challenges on trade, Iran and defense spending. Last month, when the U.S. imposed tariffs on imported aluminum and steel from Europe, Juncker admitted that “whenever I’m thinking about Trump, I’m lost.”

Had a conversation with a German Tourist yesterday,he brought up this statement made to the EU Commissioner,do you Americans realize the meaning of what Trump said. Europe will never forget this ugly statement. And he said, watch for major realignment of Europe against the USA.

BTW,he said he will never visit the USA again until Trump is gone.

In what is known as the "Battle of Politeness," the Luxies and Canucks fought to a draw while discussing who should fire the first shot:

"You go first, please."

"No, I insist, you go first."

"I really think you should go first."

"I couldn't do that -- it wouldn't be nice."

and on, and on, for seven days until the Luxembourg army ran out of wine and cheese and went home.

At the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City, the changing of the guard consists of a couple of guys jumping off a truck while the two going off duty jump onto the truck.

My maternal grandparents both emigrated from Luxembourg.

Of course, you're right. It reminds me of the days of the Unitarian Jihad and their battle cry, "Be reasonable!"

How tragic that they ran of out wine and cheese. That should never happen to anyone, according to the Geneva Convention.

He died long before I was born, but according to my mother, he always said that guns in Luxembourg were designed to shoot around corners. The country is small and they didn't want to start a war with anyone. And they never did, though they were occupied twice by the Germans in the last century.

Is there no limit to his nastiness?
