Hawaii volcano eruption: Donald Trump approves aid to those left HOMELESS by Kilauea CHAOS

Source: Express

DONALD TRUMP has approved a request for federal aid to assist people left homeless by the Kilauea volcano eruption on Hawaii’s Big Island.

Hawaii governor, David Ige, wrote to the President on Wednesday to ask for Washington’s help for those displaced by the explosions.

Since the volcano started erupting on May 3, more than 600 homes have been destroyed by the lava.

It is thought many of those are the primary dwelling for people who live there.

Mr Ige’s request on Wednesday stressed Hawaii had been so far dependant on charities for help.

Cheeto should look at this tragedy as a chance to redeem himself, even if just a little, from his criminal mishandling of the Puerto Rico calamity.

But somehow I doubt it'll be handled much better.

He'll put 'em in the basements of his properties and then bill the gov't for their stay

Then he's going to blame the eruption on the Democrats, and claim that only he can fix it.

affected by lava"

This is local newspaper coverage. There is also other local and national coverage. 700 homes lost so far. Apparently disaster assistance was approved a day after HI's governor requested it, 2 days ago. Trump's plane stopped in HI for refueling on way back from Singapore 3 days ago. He didn't get off, but maybe being there made some kind of impact on his flighty mind...?

This new approval, which comes a day after Gov. David Ige’s request, means that qualifying residents will get access to a range of federal assistance programs from shelter needs, to unemployment, to trauma and legal matters.

On Friday, a FEMA relief center will be set up at Keaau High School where county, state, and federal agencies will gather information from affected residents.

Residents whose homes were destroyed by the lava, or whose homes are inaccessible due to the lava flow, should register at the center for possible assistance.

Big Island residents line up at Disaster Recovery Center seeking assistance

Hawaii News Now spoke to a man named Shawn who was one of the first people in line at the Disaster Recovery Center.

He says his Leilani Estates home is still standing, but the ground beneath it gave way, shifting it from it's foundation.

For more than a month he and his two dogs have been living in a car. ... "It's a very slow process people. Slow. It's almost at a standstill," said Shawn. "People have literally lost their homes, their livlihood, their jobs. They're sleeping in fields. We're homeless. Come on people. Do something."

Not that we care. Until we do.

If it's offered before it's requested, it depends on the politics of the situation. (R) governor's shamed, humiliated and embarrassed by it? Great. (D) governor's shamed, humiliated, and embarrassed by it, and the disaster's been politicized, weaponized, and it's electioneering. If the president's (R).

Flip the D and R and you flip the justice of the situation. Meaning that before the president or governor does anything, others have already politicized and weaponized human misery for political purposes.

I can't imagine how anyone can can claim there's no real difference between the party of liberalism -- of government, of, by and for the people -- and what the Republican party has become.

“I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained the government for his purposes,...” ~ Attorney General Sessions spitting on the constitution

"He speaks and his people sit up at attention," the President added. "I want my people to do the same." ~ Trump speaking the truth for once

and this included young children.

Apparently they chose to do that versus going to a shelter. Seems like some trailers may be in order, although the logistics of getting those there would be nightmarish due to this being an island.
