Source: BBC

Two suicide bombers have attacked a town in north-eastern Nigeria only hours after the country's army chief urged displaced residents to return home because it was safe.

The blasts hit the town of Damboa in Borno state on Saturday evening and reports say at least 31 people died.

restore something like the immediate post-colonial structure that was so quickly lost, with these results.

DR Congo currently is undergoing its ninth Ebolo outbreak. Reading about the almost other worldly isolation, due to this kind of violence, of even those communities right on this giant nation's lifeline, the Congo River, is very frightening. Villages in the vast jungles and savannahs of the rest of the nation might as well be other worldly. Except they're not.

And it's very humbling to learn about local people who put their lives on the line for as long as they survive to try to somehow sustain long enough to break through this dreadful era. This planet has many unsung heroes whose names were never known outside their own villages and have been forgotten altogether as those were destroyed by destroyers.

People who take pride in dissent instead of in coming together to advance should realize who their ideological cousins are. They are not the heroes.
