A Neo-Nazi who stopped an Amtrak train in Nebraska and threatened deputies with a handgun has plead guilty to federal terrorism-related charges.

Taylor Michael Wilson told a judge he was high on drugs when he stopped the train using an emergency brake, disabling the vehicle and cutting off its lights from a secured inside compartment.

A police officer's body camera footage showed Mr Wilson pretending to shoot the authorities, saying, "I stopped the f****** train ... I was going to save the train from the black people."

Mr Wilson was carrying identification cards associated with the American white supremacist political party the National Socialist Movement. Police said they found racist and anti-Semitic writings stuffed in the walls of his St. Louis home, as well as "propaganda relating to the National Socialist movement, body armour, ammunition, and pressure plates that can be used to make an explosive device."

Taylor Michael Wilson: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

A Missouri man who “expressed an interest in killing black people” and who has ties to a white supremacist group is facing terrorism charges after breaching a secured area to force an Amtrak train to stop in Nebraska, federal authorities say.

Taylor Michael Wilson, 26, of St. Charles, was arrested by local police in Furnas County, Nebraska, on October 22 after the train incident. Police said Wilson was armed with a handgun when he entered the train’s follow engine and began “playing with the controls” in the engineer’s seat, according to federal court documents.

He was charged in Nebraska with felony criminal mischief and use of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and later released on $100,000 bail.

After an FBI investigation, Wilson was arrested again on December 23 and charged in Nebraska federal court with “terrorism attacks and other violence against railroad carriers and against mass transportation systems,” court records show. The case was unsealed January 3.

An armed Missouri man arrested for pulling the emergency brake on an Amtrak train in rural western Nebraska is allegedly a white supremacist who now faces a terrorism charge, according to newly unsealed court papers.

Taylor Michael Wilson, 26, belongs to a neo-Nazi group, traveled to Charlottesville for alt-right rallies, and talked about "killing black people," his cousin told FBI agents, according to the affidavit filed in federal court.

Authorities found an arsenal in a secret compartment behind his refrigerator, and white supremacy images and how-to guides to killing on his phone, the affidavit says.

. . .

They restrained him for police, who found a loaded .38 caliber handgun in his waistband, an ammunition cartridge in his pocket and more ammunition, a knife, a hammer and a respirator mask in his backpack. They also found a business card for the National Socialist Movement, which civil rights groups say is a neo-Nazi organization.

Sessions’ DOJ Charged A White Supremacist With Terrorism. They Just Didn’t Tell Anyone.
The Justice Department’s handling of the federal terrorism case against Taylor Michael Wilson is indicative of the government’s approach to domestic terrorism.

By Ryan J. Reilly

WASHINGTON ― Usually, when the FBI arrests a terrorist and the Justice Department charges them, it’s a big deal. Combatting terrorism is one of the Justice Department’s top priorities, and terror cases are a great way for federal prosecutors and agents to make names and build careers. The press and the public are very interested. Officials will typically blast out a press release, and, if it’s a big takedown, might even hold a press conference.

The Justice Department didn’t do any of that when federal prosecutors unsealed terrorism charges last week against Taylor Michael Wilson. The 26-year-old white supremacist from St. Charles, Missouri, allegedly breached a secure area of an Amtrak train on Oct. 22 while armed with a gun and plenty of backup ammunition. He set off the emergency brake, sending passengers lunging as the train cars went “completely black.”

The attempted terrorist attack took place aboard an Amtrak train that started off in California and was making its way through a part of Nebraska so remote that it took an hour for the nearest deputy to arrive on the scene. Wilson was found in the second engine of the train, “playing with the controls,” according to the FBI affidavit.

As passengers waited in dark train cars that smelled of burning rubber, Amtrak workers kept the man pinned down. “I’m the conductor, bitch,” Wilson allegedly said to Amtrak personnel while subdued. They say Wilson had tried to reach for his front waistband, where he was storing a fully loaded handgun.

was probably very hurt to have to do this to a fellow white terrorist/racist. That's why he gave orders to keep this quiet. Trump enabled racist. Glad this POS didn't kill anyone.

I had assumed the difference must be due to aging, losing weight, hard life experience, etc.

Nope, it was due to being a different prisoner with the same name.

Sorry!

he is white. If the exact same thing had been done by a Muslim American, it would have been all over the news, all the time. Same for a Afro-American Male..But no, partial coverage as if the guilty plea were something minor for a minor crime. He put 175 peoples lives in danger.....but no..this was a White American Nutcase, and he did NOT get the coverage that a Muslim American Nutcase, or an Afro-American Nutcase would have gotten.
...That is my opinion....for what it is worth.
