Poll shows Walker trailing Democrat by double-digits in Wisconsin

Source: Politico

07/26/2018 06:04 PM EDT

.......................................

The poll showed Wisconsin state education superintendent Tony Evers, the Democratic primary front-runner, taking 54 percent to Walker's 41 percent in a head-to-head matchup. Walker has warned for months that Republicans need to be active and vigilant as he runs for a third term, with Democrats winning a series of down-ballot elections in Wisconsin earlier this year.

But Democrats have had to grapple with a crowded Democratic primary field that at one point included more than a dozen candidates, but which has shrunk to eight ahead of the Aug. 14 primary. Evers has consistently polled at the front of the Democratic field.

The results are sharply more negative for Walker than the most recent Marquette University poll of the governor’s race in June, which showed Walker narrowly ahead of Evers, 48 percent to 44 percent................................

NBC and Marist also surveyed the governor's races in Michigan and Minnesota, with the results showing Democrats in commanding positions in both open races.........................

A few years ago, someone punked Walker by phoning him, and pretending to be David Koch. The fake David Koch gave Walker his marching orders, and Walker said "yes sir, just tell me what to do and I'll do it."

Apparently being a Republican puppet whose strings are held by billionaire plutocrats is not that bad. But what about a Republican puppet whose strings are held by the NRA, whose strings are, in turn, held by a KGB Honeytrap?

You watch...this cheating, low life son-of-a-bitch is going to pull some smoke out of his ass and pull a win. Please prove me wrong...but I'd bet money on it. These crooked bastards have koch money and corruption at their backs..and they aren't going to let some damned poll numbers influence the outcome of stealing an election.

Walker's $4.5 billion tax subsidy to China, his $100/kid tax credit check, Harley-D in the news, home construction crashing--all coming together.

Walker will lose by 5, as long as Dems come together.

Your civility in your response makes me think that's highly unlikely.

It was exactly 5000 when I saw the post and thought it was noteworthy.

Great clip. Have to watch some of those Marvel movies, I guess. I've resisted, since I lost interest when computers took over reality in the flicks. Was mesmerized by Star Wars, but the world changed shortly thereafter...<eg>

But, I think Evers matches up against Walker better. Evers can beat him and by a margin wide enough to be theft-proof.

The midwest will be blue again. Illinois will also rid itself of Trump wannabe Rauner.

I like our chances. Now we just have to fight off the Russians.

In any case, the gap will likely widen even more as one of them squares up to Walker in the GE.
