Donald Trump is back on the presidential Twitter machine and going after Omarosa Manigault-Newman once again.
Trump has been on an online warpath against his former Apprentice favorite ever since she launched her media tour to promote her new book against the president. Now hes calling her a crazed, crying lowlife and a dog who deserved to get fired by chief of staff John Kelly.

Interesting, thanks to Manigault-Newmans tapes, we know Trump wasnt aware of Kellys move to fire her at first, and Trump said I dont love you leaving at all at the time. Trump also used his morning tweets to declare that Robert Muellers investigation should be shut down because of Peter Strzok.
Strzok was fired from the FBI yesterday after months of intrigue from his anti-Trump sentiments. To this end, Trump cited Judicial Watchs Tom Fitton to say that Strzok and other FBI officials should be put under investigation, and Muellers probe should be shut down due to Strzoks previous involvement with it.

Is this how Trump will spin his use of the word 'dog' for Omarosa?

(15,539 posts)because of the words "animus" and "machinations". He, or whomever is writing these for him should understand that his supporters are too stupid to know what those words mean, and so is he.

Does no one talk to this man? A president calling people "dog" and "lowlife"? Whose job is it to tell the President to knock that shit off? Oh, wait...I think I get it. Hilary, is that your plant??

(10,857 posts)I think it's time to observe that Republicans are doing a far better job of destroying their party and killing off their voter base than we ever did. We may not have a choice about whether or not the USA dies along with them.
It might be time to start thinking about what the shape of the USA's successors could be, and how they can prevent the sort of people who destroyed America from returning to government. I recommend a psychological test that automatically excludes Cluster B personalities from any role in government or lobbying.
Donald Trump is a mistake that can never be forgiven, and he's not the one to blame. It's the fools whose actions are propelled by greed, fear and racism. It's time to start asking whether such people, who have no concept or understanding of democratic participation in government, should be allowed any role at all in whatever emerges after they have destroyed America.

(9,893 posts)Maybe Trump is not a mistake, maybe he is a logical consequence of the system we have/had. The Founders went to a lot of trouble to look at other former governments that had shown promise but succumbed to some flaw. They purposely constructed a system that they believed answered the flaws as they perceived them. Maybe they missed something. Or maybe it was unforeseeable based on the information they had at the time and it is for the next Founders to learn from their mistake. It does bear scrutiny because even if we survive Trump here is still a flaw. If Trump had happened earlier in our existence we may not have made it this far.

(14,173 posts)The founding fathers also had no idea of the power of contemporary media to shape opinion. And how that power can be abused to serve the corrupt few. Both television media, and talk radio media. And of course social media platforms where disinformation can be spread like wildfire. And also how we are slowly moving into separate camps of watching and listening to only the news shows that reinforce our own beliefs. I can speak for myself in saying that I am also guilty of that. And its name is Democratic Underground. I don't know what I'd do without a place were we can talk without having to deal with a circus of freepers trying to derail conversations with idiocy.
But I'd like to think there's a difference in that we actually use those pesky things called FACTS to underpin our news sites. They sit around their own camp fire telling scary stories about monsters stealing Christmas, or taking away their precious guns, or evil brown rapists invading their towns, and they all believe it.
.....you might want to imagine him dealing with, say, the Cuban missile crisis.
It's a sobering thought, and only really of any appeal to people who prefer their winters to be of the nuclear variety.
Although, that said, I guess he'd have quite happily let Kruschev base his ICBMs on the White House lawn anyhow.

Trump loved having her on his shows, more than once. Because he enjoyed watching her coldly and cruelly destroy verbally some other more sensitive guest who just didn't have the fortitude to defend themselves against such a person.
I think she was always in it for fame, for power, and money. If she couldn't succeed working for Trump, she had the backup of making recordings so she could write a book. Meanwhile, like any good psychopath, she can act. She started her act on Big Brother. Playing the victim.
I have no doubt that if Trump had promoted her and allowed her to be in charge of a department, she'd be one of his most loyal attack dogs. Instead of the dog that got fired.
