I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it will not happen, and that the sunk costs in planning already exceed the original $12 million.

As the Pentagon continues to work on parade options to present to President Donald Trump, an overwhelming number of Military Times readers have weighed in: Don’t have one.

The informal poll was launched Wednesday after news reports that Trump had requested a military parade and that the Pentagon was working on parade options for him.

As of Thursday afternoon, more than 51,000 readers had responded. The majority, 89 percent, responded “No, It’s a waste of money and troops are too busy.”

Something like...oh something foolish like give everyone who makes under 100k/year a year's salary to help them catch up. Or fund healthcare for children. Or schools. Or roads. Or...

Replacing the Flint water system?
Forgiving some student loans?

Since we don't have health care as a basic human right in this country, think of how many people could be treated for the $92 million that's going to be wasted on Trump.

Otherwise, I'm not interested.

Trying really, really hard not to be paranoid but it's difficult to say which theory is stupider:

1. Donald Trump wants to bring a shitload of troops into Washington DC to quell protests after he steals the midterm elections (or at least blocking up all the roads the weekend after the election and having an excuse to deny permits to protestors); or

2. Donald Trump is such a massive fucking baby he thinks spending $92 million on a parade is justifiable.

another department or agency, pretty soon, that adds up to a lot of money for a blowhard...and fewer dollars going to people and agencies that actually need it.

All that spare time playing golf when he could have been planning missions and not killing soldiers by assigning less qualified underlings to the task of mission planning.

Our military requested more resources for Niger mission(s) but the Trump administration refused them.
