Top GOP Fundraiser Linked To Land where Iowa Murder Suspect Lived
Source: Chicago Tribune
A top Republican fundraiser whose firm works for several prominent immigration hardliners is the partial owner of the land where the Mexican man accused of killing Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts lived rent-free, a farm spokeswoman said Friday.
Nicole Schlinger has long been a key fundraiser and campaign contractor for GOP politicians in Iowa and beyond, including this cycle for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Virginia Senate candidate Corey Stewart.
Schlinger is the president of Campaign Headquarters, a call center that makes fundraising calls, identifies supporters and helps turn out voters for conservative candidates and groups. Her business is one of the largest in Brooklyn, the central Iowa town where Tibbetts disappeared while out for a run on July 18.

A top GOP Fundraiser let the accused killer to live on her land RENT FREE.
Her company also handles "telephone town halls" (see their website.) My annoying fascist congressman, Erik Paulsen, always does these phony things. Did my tax money go to pay this slimy GOP hypocrite firm to try to propagandize me? Nicole also worked for Minn. candidate Pawlenty in 2011.
I hate republicans.
I love this!!!!

(19,874 posts)was legal and sponsored by a GOP'er. Wow.
They'll still spin it that this Molly would still be here if this "illegal immigrant' wasn't here.
Killers are killers, it has nothing to do with someone's citizenship status. So tired of the right wingers spinning the narrative.

When the story broke the other day, I read that the company said their employee was in the country legally and had a green card and was lawfully employed. I even read the he was e-verified. Now the farming company says he gave them fake ID. Did the farming company provide the fake identification that they say he showed them? What's going on here?

(2,573 posts)There may be a caption under a "related story" picture, but the actual article doesn't call out anything about his legal/not legal status.
What I've read elsewhere is that the suspect perhaps used a false name, and when that was run thru an e-verify system, he came up clean/legal.
Then again, that is the story being told by the GOP-connected employer of the suspected murderer of Mollie Tibbetts (sp?).
That employer is thick-as-thieves with the party of Putin, so I don't believe any words they speak. The GOP is made up of liars and traitors.

(4,490 posts)They said they ran him through the E-Verify system saying he was legal. Turns out though they actually are not part of the system, so their story changed to him giving them false info.
From the newspaper article posted further down thread:
"Yarrabee Farms, Riveras employer, issued a statement Tuesday night saying Rivera was vetted through the government's E-Verify system. However, a government archive does not indicate the Brooklyn, Iowa, farm as a participating member of the system.
On Wednesday, officials from the farm acknowledged they did not use the E-Verify system and that Rivera gave them false information."

(19,874 posts)....court document filed Wednesday morning states that the man accused of killing Mollie Tibbetts was working legally in Iowa, contradicting authorities' contention that he is an undocumented immigrant.
But officials at the Iowa dairy farm where the suspect worked offered information Wednesday afternoon that undermines the document's claim....

The headline of the link I posted here in my comment is contradictory. I believe the lawyers over the Trumpains.

(2,573 posts)The headline of the Chicago Tribune article does not say anything about the suspected killers legal/not legal status.
Headline is: "Top GOP fundraiser tied to the land where Iowa murder suspect lived"
It does not say anything about legal status vs. not legal status.

Sounds like they hired him without bothering to check his status or they knew he was undocumented. They go from saying they used the E-Verify system specifically, which they are not a part of, to saying he gave false information. Those are two very different claims.

* Grace and peace for the victim's family and friends.
* The victim's family and friends are given their space and time.
* The police and the judicial system get to do their jobs.
* The slime bucket who killed that women will get to spend the rest of his life in the unending hell
of doing hard time. The D.P. or suicide is too nice of a way to go for him.

Newt Gingrich said the murder of Mollie Tibbetts would help Republicans in the midterms, as investigations into her murder reveal she was allegedly killed by an undocumented immigrant.
Axios reported Wednesday that the former Speaker of the House emailed them to make sure there was coverage of the murder.

(6,881 posts)Even before the killer was IDed, pushing the bugaboo myth that without the white crusader hordes of brown killer aliens will be invited to flood in. Grave robbing the victim for political gain is as heinous as the crime. There is justification for talking about it just to prevent this kind of cynical propaganda again.
