LePage hospitalized after 'experiencing discomfort'
Source: Portland Press Herald
Gov. Paul LePage was taken by ambulance to a Bangor hospital after experiencing discomfort Saturday while visiting family in New Brunswick, a gubernatorial spokesman said Sunday.
LePage arrived at Eastern Maine Medical Center at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to his communications director, Peter Steele. He was held overnight and was resting comfortably Sunday afternoon.
Doctors said he is very strong and healthy, Steele said in a statement. But they are keeping him in the hospital overnight for further observation. The Governor is stable and is expected to make a full recovery.
No details were given about the nature of his discomfort.

(34,119 posts)"special people" get to stay for observation.
I was ambulanced to the ER with cardiac arrythmia and chest pains and the best I could get was "So where did we hear about PVC's? Freaking asshole doctor. I was a critical care nurse, the nurse wrote that down and circled it. Well you can certainly take care of yourself then and they sent me home.
Where did we hear about PVC's? If I had been able I would have grabbed him by his lab coat and asked him if he was always this rude to women. Sadly I know the answer to that question having worked in ER's off and on.
An aside from what you all were thinking about but this just finally torqued me enough to mention it.

(34,195 posts)Awaiting heart surgery in the near future.
Each time the E.R. just stabilized me and sent me home.
They said Blue Cross wouldn't let them admit me, yet.
They just keep trying to keep me alive until the surgery gets approved.

(101,361 posts)We'll settle for him going to hospital, and it being so serious he has to resign at once. It would be the ironic way of forcing the fucker to stop blocked healthcare for other people.
