Deliciously fantastic! Has Trump not run to his precious Twitter to screech and gritch and moan and seek consolation from his deplorables? I'd bet someone's head rolled today after that.

He wasn't breaking any laws, and even refusing to walk away when instructed to do so by a civilian is his right as far as I know. Sure, they would have sent security to escort him out, and I wouldn't have resisted that at all, but it would have made for a revealing moment of a Trump fascist rally.

I don't have a lot of money for lawyers, but I'd be glad to represent myself against charges of not sufficiently adoring the president. Having been chosen randomly, that young man never misrepresented himself. I'm sure there's no law that says he had to kneel and kiss Trumps ass.

The rally is actually a private event, and they have the right to remove you for any reason. Beyond that, he is within a security proximity to POTUS. On that ground alone, he could be arrested by the secret service if he refused to leave.

But really, he had already won. If he got pummeled by trump goons, it wouldn't do any good. They would spin it that he was a thug. Now, they just look foolish and incompetent. A much better story in the end.

Someone I worked for at the start of my careers (I'm now 60) explained to me the difference between being right, and dead right. If you are going to die on a hill, make sure there was no other alternative that worked better.
