GOP Lawmaker Outed As A Leader Of A White Supremacist Hate Group

Source: Think Progress

By Josh Israel, 9:42 a.m.

Racists and xenophobes are welcome in the Trump GOP.

An Oregon-based alt-weekly has exposed that state Rep. Mike Nearman (R) is the vice president of Oregonians for Immigration Reform -- an SPLC-designated anti-immigrant hate group with ties to a prominent white-nationalist eugenics advocate.

Nearman denied to the paper that he holds the vice president position, but concedes he is an officer of the organization, which lists him as VP on its website. Nearman is currently pushing to repeal Oregon's protections for undocumented immigrants.

In the aftermath of President Trump embracing racism and xenophobia and welcoming the "very fine people" on both sides into his party, the revelation about Nearman is the latest in a string linking white-nationalist and anti-immigrant groups to Republican officeholders around the country...More...

and spread the virus throughout their party, from the local levels and state levels, through to the federal levels.

When the critical mass of them had finally formed, they unleashed the thing in the WH.

When Obama was president if you asked them just what policies of the Obama administration you object to, the answer was he is a "ni..er. The answer is just that damn simple. The Republican Party is he party of ignorant racists. They are easy pickings for any half baked Republican who can grasp this simple fact. Our country is in the hands of pathetic idiots.

that governing with the GOP as a qualified partner in any capacity is anymore feasible. I mean let's start with the GOP's all out embrace of lawlessness. From the average citizen who they encourage to do things like assault fellow citizens at politician rallies to running down protestors in the streets; to the elected lawmaker who seemingly can get away with anything they want so long as republican are in the majority. And if it's lawlessness wasn't enough they are also embracing a wholly racist agenda. The GOP can no longer be classified as a political party but rather a criminal enterprise whose agenda is as Unamerican as they come. As far as I'm concerned the GOP in it's current iteration is an illegitimate power source. The way I see it, the democrats, for all their faults and warts, are the only legitimate power source in the country right now. The Democrats should be ready to govern separately from the farce being called the government these days.
