Donald Trump Jr. says he's not afraid of going to jail in Russia investigation

WASHINGTON Donald Trump Jr. said Tuesday he is not afraid of going to jail as the result of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.
"I'm not because I know what I did, and I'm not worried about any of that," the president's eldest son said during an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America. "That doesn't mean they won't try to create something, I mean, we've seen that happen with everything. But, again, I'm not."
He said he would "deal with it as it comes."
Trump Jr. is reportedly being investigated by Mueller because he agreed to take a meeting with a Kremlin-connected attorney in June 2016 at Trump Tower to get "dirt" on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. It is a violation of federal law for an American campaign to solicit or accept anything of value from a foreign national.................................
Trump Jr. said he believes there will "never be a conclusive end to the investigation. He predicted that Democrats would use it "as a permanent asterisk on my father's record" to try to win this year's congressional elections and the 2020 presidential race.

(4,512 posts)I have an ex brother-in-law in a federal prison camp right now (white collar, embezzlement) and there's nothing country club about it.
In fact, he liked the minimum security he was in until a year ago because there were more people and more to do.

(19,201 posts)outside of that New York State prison just to harass his candy-ass. There's a nice State prison in Cape Vincent, NY, right along the St. Lawrence River. It's very isolated, and probably a 10 hr. car ride from NYC. And cold? in the winter 10 below zero is a warm day. I think that would be an excellent facility for Uday.

(19,201 posts)It's about a 45 minute car ride for me, and there are so many lovely little towns in that area. Not that Donnie Jr. will get to visit any of them.
But alas and alack, Attica is reserved for murderers and such. They wouldn't put him in with Mark David Chapman.

Each one of these 87+ contacts link the Trump campaign/white house to Russia Jr., and what do they all have in common?
Team Trump lied or tried to cover up each one.

June 9, 2016: Donald Trump Jr., Manafort, Kushner, and Rob Goldstone met in Trump Tower with Russian attorney and lobbyist Natalia Veselnitskaya, former State Department contractor Anatoli Samochornov, Russian-American lobbyist and former Soviet counterintelligence officer Rinat Akhmetshin, and Georgian real estate and finance executive Irakly Kaveladze. Before the meeting, Trump Jr. was told he would be offered dirt on Hillary Clinton, to which he replied, if its what you say I love it.

(7,220 posts)These "wink-wink" comments about what happens to X kind of people in prison are pretty horrific, and implicitly condones sexual assault. I'd hope this community is better than that. Even implying that it's okay in certain circumstancs, for certain people, is opening a door that should be firmly nailed shut IMO. Not everyone agrees apparently.
BannonsLiver
(16,387 posts)Of course, that's different from advocating, which is what you are complaining about.

Reminds me of the endless Benghazi hearings that were meant as a permanent asterisk to HRC.
There will never be a conclusive end? If the investigation continues, all the asterisks will have conclusions. Unlike the endless Benghazi hearings, there will be conclusive evidence of wrong doing, criminal and otherwise.

(7,947 posts)I'm usually not vindictive, but by golly, I want to see at least one of that criminal family behind bars. And him with his white-nationalist "superior genes" babble would be near my top choice.
He actually impregnated his wife 5 times, AND told his girlfriend of the time that because of his superior genes, it was important for him also to impregnate her. Sleaze. He somehow thinks he's superior.

(6,709 posts)But then we know the entire family is weapons-grade stupid and ignorant to boot.
My fondest wish is that they not only go to jail, but lose every dime of their ill-gotten money for RICO violations and end up sitting on the curb with the rest of the trash.
