UPDATED: Trump Whines His Job on Hurricane Maria Is 'Unappreciated'

Source: The Daily Beast

Donald Trump has complained that his administration’s widely condemned work on Hurricane Maria—after which nearly 3,000 people died in Puerto Rico—hasn’t been properly appreciated. The president was derided Tuesday for describing last year’s response to the Category 5 storm in Puerto Rico as “tremendous,” leading the mayor of its capital to say: “If he thinks the death of 3,000 people is a success God help us all.” Puerto Rico only fully restored full power last month, nearly a year after the hurricane hit. Trump boasted on Twitter Wednesday morning: “We got A Pluses for our recent hurricane work in Texas and Florida (and did an unappreciated great job in Puerto Rico, even though an inaccessible island with very poor electricity and a totally incompetent Mayor of San Juan). We are ready for the big one that is coming!” Trump went on to say his administration is “fully prepared” for the incoming Hurricane Florence, with the “finest people” on the job.

UPDATE:

Hurricane Maria: ‘Millions of Water Bottles’ Left on Runway for Over a Year

Millions of water bottles—reportedly meant to provide relief to victims in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico—appear to be sitting undistributed on an airport runway there for over a year. The Federal Emergency Management Agency told CBS journalist David Begnaud that it provided the water to the territory’s government in 2017, but it’s unclear what kept the water from being handed out. “The water was kept in an area that was pretty hard-hit during the storm, and could have used all the water they could have gotten,” Begnaud said. A photographer working for a Puerto Rican police agency, Abdiel Santana, said he was outraged when he saw the stockpile. Nearly 3,000 people are believed to have died after Hurricane Maria, and many deaths are said to have resulted from a lack of access to health care and clean water.

He's not looking for appreciation from us who are opposed to him and his party...he's looking for appreciation from his base!

Donny is feeling unloved because his lack of action, which resulted in the deaths of almost 3,000 people of color, hasn't been lauded by his white supremacist base! No one has called to thank him for his first attempt at saving whites from becoming a minority!!!

The one thing that we can appreciate about Donald Trump's hurricane response is his skill at tossing a roll of paper towels 5 ft.

if President Hillary had pulled the kind of nothing job President Donald came up with, she would have been impeached and possibly hanged for record-setting gross negligence on a vast scale above and beyond the call of gross negligence.

Trump should be given the recognition he deserves: a trophy for gross negligence leading to loss of life. 1st place. best in show.
