SAN FRANCISCO Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is edging closer to a potential run for president, following what he called an encouraging summer mulling a campaign.

Hickenlooper, one of several current and former Democratic governors considering running in 2020, said he has not yet made a decision about the race. But in a sign that his political operation is ramping up, he will travel to the Southeast this month to help the campaigns of Democratic gubernatorial candidates Andrew Gillum in Florida and Stacey Abrams in Georgia.

Republicans will be putting a "C" in front of it from day one, and changing the "L" to a "P" which will be great for raising awareness and recognition, but bad for trying to get himself taken seriously by Republicans who listen exclusively to Fox Noise and National Hate Radio. Getting his views and political positions across will have to smash through the barriers of all the jokes that will come first.

(170 posts)Hard pass. I can barely tolerate him and I did vote for him in 2014.
Hopefully his presidential ambitions are short and sweet and he can go back to brewmaking.
