On September 7, President Trump woke up in Billings, Montana, flew to Fargo, N.D., visited Sioux Falls and eventually returned to Washington. He spoke to reporters on Air Force One, held a pair of fundraisers and was interviewed by three local reporters, the Washington Post reports.
In that single day, he publicly made 125 false or misleading statements in a period of time that totaled only about 120 minutes. It was a new single-day high. The day before, the president made 74 false or misleading claims, many in a campaign rally in Montana.
Trumps tsunami of untruths helped push the count in The Fact Checkers database past 5,000 on the 601st day of his presidency. Thats an average of 8.3 claims a day, but in the past nine days since our last update the president has averaged 32 claims a day.

(38,436 posts)There is a general belief that politicians lie. Occasionally or more often. Nevertheless, this person is a pathological liar, All the time, any time.
What is so offensive is that he represents our country. The leader of our country is a "pathological liar" As a result there will be a "backlash" the likes we have not seen. The November election will be a way to say no to Trump and his lies.
... As a result, People will vote Democratic for the first time and last time to make a statement against Trump. Most of us hate his constant lies. There will be an expression of this in November and it will be very powerful. That is my opinion on what will happen and why that will happen.

(2,692 posts)We won't know until after election day whether and how badly the GOP has manipulated the voting. If/when the GOP holds or actually gains ground, we will know how deeply the fix is in.
I have no doubt that they will cheat, lie, and steal votes -- fully understanding that, by doing so, they are not only undermining but destroying the foundation of our government, of our nation. There is not one member of the GOP currently in Washington who would not gladly destroy what America is and has always represented herself to be, not for idealogical reasons but for petty greed and a continued grasp on power illegitimately gained.
Millions have died for the Flag. Now the Flag is dying at the hands of the GOP.

And what is so funny about this is that when rump is actually telling the truth should he actually do something worthwhile, is that no one will believe him.

(2,692 posts)If President Trump ever takes any action beneficial to the people and prosperity of this nation it will be an unintentional or merely convenient result of an action targeting chiefly the good will and fortunes of his multi-millionaire donors and business associates.

(51,611 posts)and NOT "making false statements". Untruths, falsehoods, etc is whitewashing the real action...LYING! The MSM really pissed me off when they use these incorrect terms or when they do not call out someone who uses those terms.

(97 posts)Many of his supporters think he is not a Liar but just a good old Bullshitter. A salesman after all...
But his current bullshit includes saying Republicans will save Social Security and Medicare and Democrats want to destroy it. You will be meeting people who actually believe that and base their vote on it.
Those are really dangerous Lies from a Lying Liar.
