I heard Obama lied and said that you can keep the same doctor.

It was in the repubs campaign ads.

They brought it up every time they were interviewed on TV.

The 57 "States" was a misspeak and the "keep your own doctor" would have been possible if all Doctors were providers in the plans. The point was the plans were still managed by insurance companies and NOT the government, so the government was not choosing your doctor for you (kind of like being able to discuss end of life issues with medical professionals were NEVER death panels).

Kind of amusing that Obama's popularity is still messing with Trump's head. Obviously Trump knows he is inadequate and thinks by tearing Obama down it elevates Trump. Immature way to deal with jealousy.
