Mueller asks court to schedule Flynn sentencing

Special counsel Robert Mueller is asking a federal judge in Washington, D.C., to move forward with the sentencing of former national security adviser Michael Flynn, nearly 10 months after he pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents about his Russia contacts.

The development Monday comes after repeated delays in Flynn's sentencing.

“The matter is now ready to be scheduled for sentencing,” Mueller’s prosecutors wrote in a joint filing with Flynn’s defense attorneys on Monday. They requested that Judge Emmet D. Sullivan set a date for sentencing, suggesting Nov. 28 or seven business days after that.

Mueller’s team had previously sought to delay Flynn’s sentencing four times, signaling that his cooperation was still needed in the ongoing investigation into Russian interference.

I mean, whatever he knows could've been divulged in a day or two at most I'd think, so why has Mueller asked for delays? Waiting for OTHERS to turn, so that he can put the screws to Flynn harder, maybe? I'd like to think that's why, otherwise why put up with not getting full cooperation starting many months ago? Rescind the deal and throw his ass in the clink!

Mueller can rescind any agreement and ask for the harshest sentence possible from the sentencing judge for not complying. I'm sure Flynn's attorney knows that, and I'm sure the attorney made Flynn aware of that. I think part of the deal was for not prosecuting Flynn's son as well, so Flynn has an awful lot riding on his cooperation. If he was stupid enough to stonewall Mueller he should get the book thrown at him, and Mueller should start proceedings against Flynn's son ASAP.
