I think it's a stretch to link that to a Presidential run. nt Honeycombe8 Sep 2018 #2

He was the keynote speaker a few years before at hte Democratic Party Convention, which is known as the kickoff for a possible future Presidential candidate. And he was noteworthy. I wasn't looking at the tv. I was walking thru the den with the tv on, the Convention, when I heard someone speaking. I was so taken with it that I stopped, said to myself "Who is THAT?!?" and turned around to see who it was. There he was. The most charismatic politician I'd ever seen. I never forgot him.

Bernie's been around for eons. He's always had various aspirations.

I'm not saying this guy could or should run, or not run. But I think linking the one thing to assume that means he has aspirations is a stretch. I don't see that it means anything of the sort, although it's possible it could.
