Lawyer for Kavanaugh accuser says GOP plan to move ahead with hearing is ‘not a fair or good faith investigation’

BREAKING: In a statement, the lawyer for Christine Blasey Ford said there are multiple witnesses who should be included in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, scheduled for Monday. The panel’s Republicans have invited Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh and Ford to testify. “The rush to a hearing is unnecessary, and contrary to the Committee discovering the truth,” said Lisa Banks, the lawyer for Ford. The statement made no mention of whether Ford would testify.

"It is not important what is; what is only important is what appears to be." and "Emotion is more important than logic." Both of these were learned when I was a "College Young Republican" who was part of a group that supported Roger Stone to be Chairman of the "Midwest Federation of College Young Republicans."

The Republicans don't want Christine Blasey Ford to appear at Brett Kavanaugh's hearing on Monday, in fact, nothing would make them happier. They would then have cover to vote for him since his accuser did not show up and therefore it is an unproven accusation. This is neither just or fair since it would ruin a good man's life and career.

Now imagine Ms Ford shows up and tells her story in a very emotional way. She sheds a tear or two. She tells of its effects on her future relationships. She tells the reason she and her husband were in therapy was because of this difficulty. She tells of the hate mail and threats she has received, but for her daughter's sake, and that of all young girls, a very public lesson must be taught.

Emotion, emotion, emotion...this will make the Republicans very sad that they did not have a logical and rational FBI investigation.

...with no corroborating witnesses? This is a one sided affair where she will be attacked and Democrats will be denied any ability to call witnesses that would support her. You might as well attack Ford for not appearing on Sean Hannity's show.

That being said,

My advice to Dr. Ford would be to take a page from Stormy Daniels and Summer Zervos playbook. Sue him for defamation.

Subpoena Kavanaugh and Mark Judge and force them to testify in front of a neutral arbitrator. That way there would be a full investigation conducted by the attorney's on both sides of the issue and both parties to the case could present all their evidence. It would be up to a neutral jury to decide if it was more likely than not.

Plus, a permanent stink would hang over Kavanaugh's head for as long as the litigation lasted. Hell, given Kavanaugh's finances, he might be forced to surrender as he likely doesn't have the funds to engage in prolonged litigation.

Also, a neutral arbitrator? Did Ford sign an arbitration agreeement with Kavanaugh or are you confusing this case with Trump and Stormy Daniels?
