Harvard Says Kavanaugh Won't Be Teaching His 2019 Supreme Court Class

Source: Huff Post

By Ashley Feinberg, 12 mins. ago.

Last week, Harvard Law School dean John F. Manning informed students that, though he couldn’t say whether or not Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh would still be teaching his January class, The Supreme Court Since 2005, the school was still taking its students’ concerns seriously.

But now the school has informed students that Kavanaugh’s course, which he’s been teaching since 2009, would not be offered this year.

The email, which was sent at 7:55 p.m. Eastern time Monday, reads:
Today, Judge Kavanaugh indicated that he can no longer commit to teaching his course in January Term 2019, so the course will not be offered. Sent on behalf of the Law School’s Curriculum Committee.

Thus far, Harvard Law students haven’t received any other information about the cancellation, though one student noted that there is “tons of speculation right now.”...

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he's so nasty that when he was an alter boy, he molested a priest!

Yours is the first positive reply that I've gotten here since I decided to comment (many years visiting). Made the apparently unforgivable mistake of defending Ed Schultz when he died. Was told to eff-off and "go back to Breitbart" Kind of lost faith at that moment since I'm a unionist and to the left of Noam Chomsky. Have been since the 60s.

Not enough of a feminist for me, but did seem to be very proworker. Never listened to him after AA.

Thirty plus years working in a factory gives a different perspective from young urban professionals and millennials alike. I often don't fit within the perimeter of the liberal cookie cutter either, though I'm the genetic offspring of diehard Kennedy union Democrats and would put my cred up against anyone. Never one to need trigger warnings.

You'll need a thick hide if you decide to post here often. Don't take it too personally and stand your ground, just don't get nasty until you have some tenure, and even then....

Hell you could offer me a full ride scholarship for taking his class and it wouldn't be enough.

14. BREAKING: Kavanaugh Will Not Return to Teach at Harvard Law Schoo

Oct 2018

This man is not fit to be a judge or a law professor https://www.thecrimson.com/article/2018/10/2/kavanaugh-is-out/

Embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh will not return to teach at Harvard Law School in January, according to an email administrators sent to Law students Monday evening.
"Today, Judge Kavanaugh indicated that he can no longer commit to teaching his course in January Term 2019, so the course will not be offered," Associate Dean and Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs Catherine Claypoole wrote in the email, which she sent on behalf of the Law School's Curriculum Committee.
Kavanaugh and Harvard Law spokespeople could not immediately be reached for comment.
The news comes after several women have alleged that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted them decades ago. The allegations roiled Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court and spurred students on the Law School's campus to call for Harvard to bar him from teaching pending a "full and fair investigation" of his alleged sexual misconduct.
