Source: Omaha World Herald

Iowa Democrats are highlighting the state's role as the first in the nation to vote this year.

Early voting in Iowa commences Sept. 27.

The state's delegation to the National Democratic Convention have stickers and signs trumpeting "Be The First" to encourage Iowans to get their ballots in early.

Obama deputy campaign manager Jennifer O'Malley-Dillon told the delegation Monday that being the first in the nation to start voting continues the special place that the state holds for President Barack Obama.
