Criticizing 'wacko' Democrats, Trump promotes ethanol, local Republicans at Bluffs rally

COUNCIL BLUFFS — Republicans who were hoping President Donald Trump would take the fight to the Democrats were not disappointed at his Council Bluffs rally on Tuesday.

Trump struck a confrontational tone at Tuesday’s rally in Council Bluffs, going after Democrats locally and nationally as he promoted ethanol and Republicans up for re-election.

He offered the same defiant speech that he has in several other political rallies in the lead-up to the Nov. 6 election.

“The Democrats have become too extreme, and they’ve become, frankly, too dangerous to govern,” he said. “They’ve gone wacko.”

But this whole "wacko," "raging," "radical," talk plays well with the base. It worries me given the nonsense that gets picked up by that crowd and spread around as fact. I hope Democrats use this.

Them there farmers in Iowa gotta sell their corn to someone and do something with all them there fields of corn - the boycott Mr. President declared made it more difficult to sell overseas and to Mexico/Canada, so Trump will take care of them by pushing ethanol. Makes every Repuke happy in their fields of corn.

First he fucks up the agricultural markets, now he’s going to fuck up the environment trying to get farmers back on his side... Trump’s short term solutions are going to drive America into a recession...
