President Trump gave an interview to Fox & Friends on Thursday, during which, he shrugged off the criticism he got last night for holding a campaign rally while the Southeastern U.S. is getting battered by Hurricane Michael.
As Trump acknowledged the damage caused by the storm and the recovery that will be necessary in the aftermath, Steve Doocy brought up the criticism from those who say he shouldve stayed in Washington to monitor the damages, rather than travel to Erie, Pennsylvania for a rally. Trump previously justified the rally by saying he cannot disappoint the people who lined up to see him, and today, he stuck to his position by saying I had very little heat other than the natural haters, which there are obviously some.
Trump continued by bragging about his crowd sizes while insisting that he was keeping check on the storm.
I was totally monitoring. So I went in, made the speech. Everybody was happy. It would be really unfair to all the people waiting. Were talking about thousands and thousands of people. It would have been very unfair, I dont think really the heat was very hot. Relative to other things I think it was very minor.

(6,941 posts)Not "haters" but the "hated".
His hate for others, especially the media and Democrats, has consequences.
80% of people are "hated" in Trump's eyes. They are just staring back at him.

but he's fine with campaigning on the day one of the worst hurricanes to hit the USA arrives. It's just that he's a self-hater from 6 years ago.
