Trump won't accept blame if GOP loses house

Source: TPM

October 17, 2018 7:11 am

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Facing the prospect of bruising electoral defeat in congressional elections, President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he won't accept the blame if his party loses control of the House in November, arguing his campaigning and endorsements have helped Republican candidates.

No, I think I'm helping people. Look, I'm 48 and 1 in the primaries, and actually it's much higher than that because I endorsed a lot of people that were successful that people don't even talk about. But many of those 48, as you know, were people that had no chance, in some cases. We look at Florida, you look at Donovan in Staten Island. He was losing by 10 points, I endorsed him and he won. I could give you a long list of names. Look at Georgia governor of Georgia. And many, many races. And I will say that we have a very big impact. I don't believe anybody's ever had this kind of an impact. They would say that in the old days that if you got the support of a president or if you've got the support of somebody it would be nice to have, but it meant nothing, zero. Like literally zero. Some of the people I've endorsed have gone up 40 and 50 points just on the endorsement.

the few republicans who are not in bed w/ him when the wipeout happens in Nov. 2018, and then they'll finally realize that the boat that they are on is sinking. The holes can't be patched as they are too many lies, too many holes, too many disgusting creatures of the night running around in this administration, corrupting the word of the law in every manner possible.

Mitch McTurtle is probably furious at the overtime he is having to put in running the country, but it is his own fault for letting his hatred for Obama and Hillary overcome what tiny vestige of patriotism he had left in him.

As for King Yertle the Turtle, that is surely all Trump really wanted to be. He probably read the original book by Dr. Seuss when it came out in 1958, said to himself, damn, THAT's what I want, except for the unhappy ending when he falls all the way down into the mud.

Ten year old Trump was probably lulling himself to sleep with "I'm Yertle the Turtle, oh marvelous me, For I am the ruler of all that I see." All this other stuff with the Supreme Court, the budget deficit and foreign policy, he probably wished he could make it all go away with a swish of Harry Potter's wand. Removo toto!
