I actually won $4 (had a ticket with 1 number and the megaball #...lol)

However, the actual drawing itself really isn't a news item since it is a routine event. Whether anyone matched and where they are located if there are winners is actually news.

The coolest thing was when I asked others what they'd do with the money if they won, everyone said they'd give it away, help their family, friends, etc, not spend it all on themselves.

You could always spend that on 5 Powerball tickets (drawing tonight).

I did see news articles where there were a bunch of folks who claimed that they were willing to give away money - particularly some who they asked who worked at social service organizations... although sometimes that is a harder choice to make than they think if they did win.

drawings now in the past week I've managed to get not one number. I guess that $40 scratch off in the spring was my lifetime supply of lottery luck.

I only play when there are huge jackpots. But what is funny this go-around, I got both Powerball and Megamillions tickets and my Megamillions tickets kept getting several of the correct Powerball numbers and vice versa.

I checked my ticket. They got every number wrong.

I just put $6 into some rich guy's pocket
