Sending bombs to someone is not the same thing as making someone feel uncomfortable at a restaurant.

Two bombs in two days targeting prominent Democrats. This is terrorism, and I hope the FBI, ATF and the rest of law enforcement can catch the bomber quickly, because someone is going to be seriously injured or killed if not.

I thought the USPS spent lots of money on mail screening technology, like x-rays or something like that.

This is terrorism, and an indication that someone wants or intends to take the country by fear and force.

notably in D.C. & NYC and also in most if not all government facilities.

Apparently the Soros one was "hand delivered" and it was mentioned that the Obama one was intercepted in D.C. I expect the Clinton ones are handled at either a private facility or at a special postal facility with a special precautions setup, where it was noted a "tech" discovered it.

Because of the continual "powder" mailings happening since 2001, certain folks never get "direct" mail unless some unauthorized individual sticks it in their mailbox.

There are so many security cameras around that whoever placed the package in Soros' mailbox will be ID'd.

apparently one of his workers found it and then moved it to some woods and called authorities. I suppose Soros will need to implement some better protocols for his employees, although I expect he is probably exasperated at the ridiculousness of being a perpetual "boogie man" to the RW nuts.

And there will also be cameras along the road or at other residences nearby. The time period will be fairly easy to estimate as well so investigators won't to look through days and days of camera footage.

When I was hunting around, I saw links for private mail/package screening services and I expect he will need to just do that for everything and have someone pick up mail and packages and ditch any "external" mailbox (if that is actually where it was found).

they can inspect packages, but not if they were shipped as first class, only priority/next day.

notably if it is addressed to VIPs like former first families, etc. They do these offsite at special facilities that have xray machines and possibly other scanning devices. This is how whatever was mailed to Obama was intercepted.

The fact that in 2001 anthrax-laden envelopes exploded in sorting machines in postal handling facilities in NJ spreading it all over the facility, was why changes were made, including screening for biohazards (anthrax and ricin for example).

'"Terrorism" is what the other does', a statement all but explicitly drilled into our heads... so this bomber does not see himself as a terrorist at all.

And back to the word "terrorism" which is so often not used when a white American commits it - I am hearing right now (and you probably are too) officials in NYC state that this is, without a doubt, terrorism. I am relieved to hear it especially if this ends up being a Faux watching, tRump loving deplorable with a Facebook, Twitter account trail to prove it. It is on the record now.

if these are actual explosive devices, pretend explosive devices, or "suspicious" packages. It brings to mind an incident someone I worked with was involved in where this person made a huge deal out of a suspicious package during a mill strike, complete with evacuations, ATF and the whole nine that turned out to be two six packs in a paper bag mailed between the union lawyer and the management lawyer to settle a bet.

Not saying this is in settlement of a bet, but there's a big difference between a suspicious package(s) and a Ted Kaczynski bomb. Speaking of Ted, what's he been up to lately?

I haven't heard any analysis reports on them yet and that may take some time unless they are obvious "duds". They have to do meticulous forensics on this stuff first in any case so that they can gather evidence for federal crime charges.
