Minnesotan David Foster to speak of his experience with Romney's Bain Capital at Democratic conventi

Minnesotan David Foster, executive director of the BlueGreen Alliance, is set to speak to the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night about his dealings with Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital.

Foster worked with Bain when he was director of the United Steelworkers District 11 and Bain bought GST Steel in Missouri.

This spring, Foster was featured in a pro-Obama video and ad that blamed Romney almost directly for the tough times steelworkers experienced at the plant.

In the video, a worker says Bain was like a vampire that “sucked the life out of us.” After Bain bought GST, the company declared bankruptcy and eventually closed (well after Romney left Bain.)

"In 1995, Romney’s Bain had GS acquire another firm, adding over a hundred million in new debt. By then, Bain had forced the company to hold $378 million in debt, which was ten times the annual income of the company and “the company was not on a sustainable course.”

"Additionally, “records show that the mill's Bain-backed management was confronted several times about the fund's shortfall, which, in the end, required an infusion of funds from the federal Pension Benefits Guarantee Corp.” A federal government agency had to spend $44 million to bail out the pension plan that had been underfunded by Bain."

Could be why his middle name was Wolfgang and his Teddy Werewolf was named Wolfie, (Wolf Wolf formally).

He also had some vampire tendencies.
