Elvis, Hatch, Babe Ruth, Scalia among Trump's Medal of Freedom recipients

Source: WaPo

President Trump on Saturday named seven individuals who will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom next week — a list that includes three posthumous recipients.

The awardees are: Miriam Adelson, Orrin G. Hatch, Alan C. Page, Elvis Presley, Babe Ruth, Antonin Scalia and Roger Staubach.

The award, considered to be the top civilian honor, is bestowed to individuals “who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security of national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors,” according to a release by the White House.

The medals will be awarded on Nov. 16.

Trump really loves to surround himself with drunken reprobates, as you can see by looking at the last person he inflicted on the Supreme Court.

In this case, Trump only wanted to give the medal to Scalia, but surrounded him with others to hide the real selection. Honoring Scalia sends a strong racist message to the deplorables, since he was the driving force behind gutting the Voters Rights Act.

I thought Alan Page was great on the Minnesota Supreme Court but I doubt he cares much for Trump using him to cater to black voters. Same thing he did with Mohammad Ali.

would be chosen (he wasn't even the chief justice), so I think his football career might also have been a factor, as well as his education foundation. Page said he was honored and he's leaving politics out of it. But I question Trump's motives.
