President Donald Trump to attend Army-Navy game in Philadelphia

Source: 6ABC.com

The White House confirmed Trump's attendance to The Associated Press on Tuesday. Trump also went to the 2016 game when he was president-elect.

Trump will be the 10th sitting president to attend Army-Navy, a tradition that began with Theodore Roosevelt in 1901. Barack Obama was the most recent president to attend the game, in 2011 at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

Navy athletic director Chet Gladchuk said at the annual pregame luncheon in Philadelphia last week that that school is always prepared for the president to attend.

The 108th football meeting between Army and Navy will be the 20th game attended by a president. The Commander-in-Chief traditionally switches sides of the field at halftime.

The epic Army-Navy game makes its return to Philadelphia. Cadets from West Point and Midshipmen from Annapolis will square off at Lincoln Financial Field for a matchup between the historic rivals.

Traditionally played on the second Saturday in December, the heated bout often marks the last game of the season for both teams.

refuses to visit Overseas because he thinks he might get killed; and because he didn't think they should be there in the first place. . Yes don't visit our Troops Overseas because you didn't send them there, and because you don't believe they should be there in the first place. Well guess what? Those troops didn't vote to send themselves Overseas but they ARE there and everyday they risk life and limb carrying out their mission; on behalf of YOU, a lowlife sonofabitch that claims to support the Troops but thus far hasn't done a damn thing to prove it.

Lots of action
No kneeling
HUGE text on scoreboard showing simple words to read
Colorful uniforms, both on the field and in the crowd
Loud bands
Raked grass (probably fake grass) under the goal posts
Instant replay for nodding off moments
