Melania Trump: Hardest part of being first lady is 'opportunists who are using my name'

Source: CNN

Updated 11:33 PM ET, Wed December 12, 2018

(CNN)Melania Trump said the hardest thing she has to deal with as first lady is feeling like there are people in the media and in the public who trade on her name to advance their own careers.

"I would say the opportunists who are using my name or my family name to advance themselves, from comedians to journalists to performers, book writers," Trump told Fox News' Sean Hannity on Wednesday when asked what has been the hardest thing about being first lady.

"Does it hurt?" Hannity asked.

"It doesn't hurt. The problem is they're writing the history and it's not correct," Trump responded.

"They like to focus on the gossip and I would like to ... focus on the substance, and what we do, not just about nonsense," Trump said.
Trump has spoken out in the past about feeling ridiculed by the mainstream media and her husband's political opponents. She said in an interview with ABC News in October that her feelings of being "bullied" led her to create her cyberbullying initiative "Be Best," which is her primary policy focus as first lady.

Gee, Hannity sure has priorities--interviewing Melania now.

Any empathy I might have had for her was lost the day she boarded the plane to visit kids who had been separated from their parents by the Trump administration.

What happened next? How Melania Trump’s jacket revealed her true politics to the world

Melania Trump
When the first lady arrived to meet children separated from their families with a coat emblazoned with the words ‘I really don’t care. Do U?’ what was she trying to tell us?

From a fashion point of view, 2018 peaked – or rather, troughed – one Thursday in June, when the US first lady wore a green army jacket emblazoned with the slogan “I really don’t care. Do U?” to visit a shelter for unaccompanied children. Many of the children were in the Texas facility after being separated from their parents, an immigration policy for which President Trump was being denounced as heartless.

The jacket was 2018 in a nutshell. A story almost laugh-out-loud in its absurdity, and yet deadly serious
. (The strapline for this year could surely be: “Yes, that really happened.”) An outrageous White House play that became a lightning rod for the spotlight. A Trump move that does not even pretend to appeal to voters’ highest instincts, but instead encourages their darkest, meanest side with an enabling wink.

The television cameras that documented Melania Trump walking up the steps of her plane at an airfield in Maryland that morning were afforded, as she had known they would be, a lingering back view of her outfit. Some of the 6in-high letters were obscured by the hood, but within minutes of the image landing on social media, the jacket (£39.99 from Zara in 2016) and its slogan had been identified.

There was anger and disbelief, ..............................................

Grisham was right, of course. There was no hidden message. Quite the opposite. The message was literally spelled out in large letters. The vocabulary was brash, the rhythm jarring, there was random capitalisation and abbreviation. Exactly like one of @realDonaldTrump’s tweets. This was the moment when the world realised that Melania was not secretly signalling to be saved, but really was Donald’s partner and ally. The Save Melania movement had been a joke, but one that expressed a truth, which was that of a world not taking Trump quite seriously. It expressed a buried hope that maybe the Trump White House was somehow a hoax. The jacket was one of the moments when 2018 pointed out to us: yes, this really is happening.

The story got more bizarre. ..................................

Trump sat down with Sean Hannity — a close ally of her husband’s — and went after the same targets President Trump routinely derides: the media, journalists who have written books about her, and even comedians who make her a frequent punchline.

Hannity’s questions, unsurprisingly, were mostly of the softball variety. Asked by the pundit what has been the hardest thing she’s had to deal with, Trump went to her husband’s go-to punching bags.
.....................................

Trump addressed speculation about her marriage using a familiar lament about the media: “They like to focus on the gossip, and I would like that they focus on the substance, not just about nonsense.”

The Hannity interview is the second televised interview the often-reticent Trump has granted since coming to the White House................................

.............................................

“Well, we could see it,” she said. “I don’t agree with his tone sometimes, and tell him that. ... I said to him, ‘I don’t think you need to be that out.’ On the end, it’s his decision. He knows the consequences. He’s an adult. But he’s a fighter. He’s the fighter.”

And Hannity asked how she felt about a second term for her husband. “The country does best ever," she said. “I want that the country to continue to do well.”

“He wants to govern the right way.” she said later. “It’s tough because the media wants to bash and focus on negativity.”............................

to silicone. Excuse me, "saline solution". I read that silicone is no longer used to "augment" gold digger's breasts.

Not that it matters, but she doesn't do a damned thing for me. There's nothing real about her at all. All form and absolutely no substance.

I notice this was before she got her eyes turned into slits by a plastic surgeon. She was actually very pretty when she was a young model:

I heard that her squinty little eyes were due to a bad eye job at too early an age. Her eye job was so bad that several more plastic surgeons were unable to repair the weird little squinty look.

This last face lift did repair the eyes a little more I noticed.

Hundreds of children murdered on school grounds.
Border children stole and lost in American prisons.
Massive wildfires killing and destroying homes in CA.
Hurricanes leveling hundreds of homes and killing people.
Pollution destroying our way of life.
Mass shootings almost a daily occurrence.
Journalist being murdered, tortured and in prisons.
Massive bankruptcies over lack of health insurance.

And all she is concerned about is the misuse of her name, which resulted in her using FLOTUS
Platform and taxpayer money to start “BEBEST” campaign to stop people from bullying herself and family.

I no longer have any doubt about her real intentions as flotus.
She is a shallow self serving over privileged wife who has never thought about anything other than what she wants, and who she can stomp on to get it. Like her husband, she has never had to work for or face any hardships that are necessary to build character, and she proved she has no character, morals or thoughts outside of herself.

She hyped her QVC jewelry line on the official White House website for a New York minute back in 2017!

When it comes to opportunists, I guess it takes one to know one. So cry me a river, Melania.
