Protesters chant "lock him up" as Michael Flynn walks out of court

People outside the federal courthouse were heard chanting "lock him up" and "USA" as Michael Flynn left the building following the delay of his sentencing.

Flynn left the courthouse without speaking to reporters.

Judge Emmet Sullivan postponed Flynn's sentencing until 2019. Both sides now have until March 13 to file a status report with the court.

I can live with it if he doesn't get any time in the slammer. If he genuinely cooperated and did so without reservation, and if what he told Mueller helps bring down Trump and his swamp things, I'm okay with calling it a wash.

That said, if the judge did give him a few years in the clink, I'm not going to shed any tears about it, either.

It really is sad how far he fell, and a very good example of how Trump rots and corrupts everything and everyone in his orbit. Once upon a time, Flynn was a respected military man. Now he's a cautionary tale.
