New Mexico doesn't have the trees, lakes, streams, etc., that we would normally associate with the "beauty of nature", but there are some truly amazing vistas there. In my opinion, it has a beauty like no other state in the nation.

I wasn't trying to imply that NM isn't beautiful at all. I travel to NM at least once a year, mainly to the Santa Fe area, and absolutely love it there. It is quite beautiful with the vista's and mountain/desert landscape!! That and the fact that they have those hatch chiles that I gather every year and freeze!

What I love most about New Mexico, though, is the people that live there. New Mexico is a true melting pot of various cultures. The people there are kind.

They are truly kind in NM. Going to visit my husband's family in Santa Fe is like me going to visit my family in their small mountain village in Italy. Food, love, wine and naps!
