The movement started with Henry Morris' Institute for Creation Research, grew in1979 with Jerry Falwell's Moral Majority, and attained national power with Pat Robertson's Christian Coalition in 1989.

The left did not recognize the danger in these movements.

They’re back to work.

Two of these groups still exist.

My point was that we could have stopped them decades ago, but we did nothing.

It's important to recognize the direct line of connection between Putin and Chechnya.

In Ezekiel 16:48–50, God compares Jerusalem to Sodom, saying "Sodom never did what you and your daughters have done." He explains that the sin of Sodom was that "She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me."

Further:

In fact, the Bible itself expressly describes the sin of Sodom elsewhere as radical inhospitality. According to the prophet Ezekiel, the real “guilt” of the Sodomites was the fact that, although they had “pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease,” they “did not aid the poor and needy” and were “haughty” (Ezekiel 16:49-50). Similarly, the Letter to the Hebrews warns Christians by alluding to the true sin of the Sodomites as inhospitality: “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it” (Hebrews 13:2).
