(CNN)The FBI has arrested longtime Donald Trump associate Roger Stone, his lawyer tells CNN.
Law enforcement raided Stone's house, and CNN witnessed uniformed and armed law enforcement approach his house just after 6 a.m. ET in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Pounding on his door, one agent said: "FBI. Open the door."
Stone opened the door.

Per analysts on MSNBC:
A 7 count indictment. He's charged with obstruction, multiple false statements, witness tampering.
Connects Roger Stone to multiple unnamed people at Organization One (which the MSNBC analysts think is Wikileaks) and information damaging to the Cllnton campaign. Some "senior official" was "directed" by someone else to get in touch with Roger Stone.
WHAT A WAY TO START THE DAY!
No pizza for you today, Roger Stone!

[div class"excerpt"]Three senior Trump campaign officials have told Mr. Mueller's team that Mr. Stone created the impression that he was a conduit for inside information from WikiLeaks, according to people familiar with their witness interviews. One of them told investigators that Mr. Stone not only seemed to predict WikiLeaks' actions, but also that he took credit afterward for the timing of its disclosures that damaged Hillary Clinton's candidacy.
In social media posts and numerous interviews before the 2016 election, Mr. Stone indicated that he had advance knowledge that a trove of information damaging to Mrs. Clinton's campaign might be about to spill into public, and even suggested that he had personally spoken to the WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange.
Mr. Stone has changed his story in the months since, saying that he was not actually speaking to Mr. Assange and that he had no direct knowledge that Russians were responsible for the Democratic hackings. Still, it was revealed last year that, in the weeks before the election, Mr. Stone was messaging on Twitter with Guccifer 2.0, a pseudonym used by one or more operatives in the Russian intelligence scheme to steal the emails and funnel them to WikiLeaks.

The special counsel's office said Stone will make an initial appearance later Friday at the federal courthouse in Fort Lauderdale.
Stone did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
NEW ARTICLE FROM CNN:
https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/25/politics/roger-stone-arrested/index.html
The indictment's wording does not say who on the campaign knew about Stone's quest, but makes clear it was multiple people. This is the first time prosecutors have alleged they know of additional people close to the President who worked with Stone as he sought out WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
"After the July 22, 2016, release of stolen (Democratic National Committee) emails by Organization 1, a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact STONE about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign. STONE thereafter told the Trump Campaign about potential future releases of damaging material by Organization 1," prosecutors wrote.
SNIP
A number of law enforcement vehicles with silent sirens flashing pulled in front of Stone's home on a darkened Ft. Lauderdale street just after 6 a.m. Friday morning.
About a dozen officers with heavy weapons and tactical vests fanned out across Stone's lawn.

WASHINGTON Roger J. Stone Jr., a longtime informal adviser to President Trump who has spent decades plying the dark arts of scandal-mongering and dirty tricks to help influence American political campaigns, was indicted Friday in the special counsel investigation. Mr. Stone was charged with seven counts, including obstruction of an official proceeding, making false statements and witness tampering, according to the special counsels office.
The indictment is the first public move in months by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, who is investigating Russias interference in the 2016 election and possible coordination with Trump associates.
(Read the indictment.)
Mr. Stone and his lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Stone, a self-described dirty trickster who began his career as a campaign aide for Richard M. Nixon and has a tattoo of Nixon on his back, has long maintained that he had no connection to Russias attempts to disrupt the 2016 presidential election. He sometimes seemed to taunt American law enforcement agencies, daring them to find hard evidence to link him to the Russian meddling campaign.

Roger J. Stone Jr., a longtime informal adviser to President Trump, was arrested by the FBI on Friday after being indicted in the investigation by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III. Stone was charged with seven counts, including one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements, and one count of witness tampering, according to Muellers office.
Stone, who has been under scrutiny for months by Mueller, has acknowledged exchanging messages during the 2016 campaign with Guccifer 2.0, a Twitter persona that U.S. intelligence officials say was a front operated by Russian military officers who conspired to hack Democratic emails.
Stone, who served briefly as an adviser to Donald Trumps presidential campaign in 2015 and then continued to informally advise him, publicly cheered on WikiLeaks as it released emails hacked from Democrats during the race and before the election claimed he was in contact with the groups founder, Julian Assange, whom he called my hero.
The special counsels office said Stone will make an initial appearance later Friday at the federal courthouse in Fort Lauderdale. Stone did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Then after they realize Stone is talking to Mueller and others they'll switch stories accusing him of stuff they have on him if he talks. trump and guiliani will do the same thing to stone that they've been doing to others , suggest threats , or use others to threaten him . trump will use this to attack the investigation , again , with no proof of any of his lies he'll spew out. Stone knows trump will turn on him , and refuse to protect him , no matter what he claims. If trump pardons him another obstruction charge for him . I also suspect trump and stone were involved in illegal businesses which stone used against politicians and powerful people by blackmailing them for their situation they were caught in , and probably sold the information to trump for him to use for self protection also. This will be very interesting what excuses and accusations trump uses this time. Mueller doesn't indict unless he has all the hard evidence to prove their guilt. Stone will be convicted.

Roger Stone, the beleaguered friend and longtime ally of President Trump, admitted in a bizarre video statement Friday that he threatened to steal a dog from his disgruntled associate Randy Credico because he feared for the pups well-being.
Stone released the video after Credico was spotted bringing his service dog Bianca along with him to testify before special counsel Robert Muellers grand jury in Washington, D.C., on Friday morning.
Credico plans to tell the grand jury that I threatened to take away his dog. How cruel, how heartless, with a prop dog right there! Stone, donning a wide-brim Panama hat, says in the video while cradling his own dog, a Yorkie named PeeWee 2.0. What he wont mention, Stone continued, is that I did so out of concern because of Credicos substance abuse and his indigence, the dog was receiving neither food nor medical attention.
It wasnt clear if Credico in fact told the grand jury about Stones dognapping threat and his attorney, Martin Stolar, declined to comment. Its also not clear why Mueller would have any interest in whether Stone ever threatened to steal someones dog.

'Prepare to die': Trump's longtime ally Roger Stone arrested in Russia probe
Roger Stone, a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, was arrested in the special counsel's Russia investigation in a pre-dawn raid at his Florida home on Friday and was charged with lying to Congress and obstructing the probe.
The seven-count indictment against Stone, a self-proclaimed "dirty trickster" and an adviser to Trump in his unorthodox bid for the White House, is the first criminal case in months from special counsel Robert Mueller.
It provides the most detail to date about how Trump campaign associates in the summer of 2016 were actively seeking to politically benefit from the release of hacked material damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign. It alleges that unnamed senior Trump campaign officials, reported to include Steve Bannon, contacted Stone to ask when stolen emails relating to Clinton might be disclosed.
The indictment does not charge Stone with conspiring with WikiLeaks, which published the emails, or with the Russian officers that allegedly hacked them. Instead, it accuses him of witness tampering, obstruction and false statements about his interactions related to WikiLeaks' release. Some of those false statements were made to the House intelligence committee, according to the indictment.
