Delaney endorsed by 3 Iowa Dem chairs

Source: Politico

Former Maryland congressman and presidential candidate John Delaney earned endorsements from three Democratic Party county chairs in Iowa, according to his campaign.

Donna Crum, Nancy Camardo, and Twyla Peacock head Democratic parties in three counties — Mills, Wayne, and Van Buren — that supported Donald Trump with at least 65 percent of the vote.

“For too long, Democrats have neglected voters in so-called ‘red counties’ in Iowa but I’m doing things differently," Delaney said in a statement.

“Our country needs a unifier rather than a divider,” Crum said in a statement provided by the campaign. “Congressman Delaney is running on a message of honesty and integrity in an effort to restore civility to not only the White House but the overall political discourse of our nation.”

Indeed. We just experienced that with our recent Democratic nominee for Governor as well.

I actually mostly grew up in this area. Left at 17 and never looked back. Most of the smart ones leave. One of the standard jokes is "How do raise the IQ of both Missouri and Iowa? The answere:"Give Missouri the bottom tier of counties".
