Trump: Michael Cohen 'Lied A Lot'...But Didn't Lie About 'No Collusion with Russian Hoax'

AP’s Jonathan Lemire asked of Mr. Trump, “while this was going on, the drama back in Washington, you former lawyer, Michael Cohen, who worked for you for 10 years, his office right next to yours, right by yours at Trump Tower — he called you a liar, a conman, a racist. What’s your response to Michael Cohen?”

Trump offered that he “tried to watch as much” as he could of the riveting seven-hour testimony of his former personal attorney, before dismissing the ordeal as a”fake hearing.” He then criticized Democratic congressional leaders for scheduling this hearing “in the middle of this very important summit” calling it a “really a terrible thing.”

Regarding Cohen, the former senior executive he employed for roughly a decade, Trump said “he lied a lot, but it was very interesting because he didn’t lie about one thing. He said no collusion with the Russian hoax.” He continued:

And I said, ‘I wonder why he didn’t just lie about that, too, like he did about everything else.’ I mean, he lied about so many different things, and I was actually impressed that he didn’t say, “Well, I think there was collusion” for this reason or that. He didn’t say that. He said no collusion, and I was a little impressed by that, frankly. He could’ve — he could’ve gone all out. He only went about 95% instead of 100%. But the fact is there is no collusion, and I call it the witch hunt.

Also funny that Cohen would tell lies that send him to prison. One would think that, if he were to lie under oath, it would be to keep him out of prison.

Which they are claiming means there wasn't any.

The inquiry - and Cohen - were under instruction not to discuss it as it is an ongoing case, they were also not to talk about people not yet indicted - though Trumps kids did get a brief mention
