A huge piece of you would be gone.

I am not a religious person, but one thing I have found with some who are and have suffered losses is that their belief in a hereafter where loved ones reunite gives them comfort. False or not, comfort and hope can keep a person going. I would imagine that the community these families are part of will rally to help to help as well. No-one should be alone in pain and grief.

I hope something positive comes of such a senseless tragedy. Tough gun laws are a good place to start. Addressing hate and intolerance will hopefully make some strides forward as well.
