California man jailed in Colombia for seeking sex with girls

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — Police in Colombia's second-largest city have arrested a California man for allegedly offering cash over Facebook to girls as young as 13 in exchange for sexual acts.

The chief prosecutor's office released Sunday a video showing Thomas Renno being handcuffed after arriving to the city of Medellin from San Francisco. He was making his seventh trip to Colombia since 2017, during which time he is believed to have victimized several minors.

According to investigators, Renno allegedly used three Facebook profiles to contact girls and offer them up to $100 to accede to his propositions. He also used the social network to share explicit photos and pornographic material.

Phone messages left at what is believed to be Renno's home in Fairfax, California were not returned.

they decide to waive it to extradite him back to the US where he will face federal charges as he violated a number of federal laws by doing what he did and with those he will not get parole as I do no believe the federal system has it.

Except they go to various Asian countries. Invariably white, single, past it, despicable, deplorable.

The thinking seems to be - they are not white, I am, so I'm superior, and I have money, and they have no morals, so fair go, line up girls!

Local authorities, show them otherwise! No need to be polite about it, either.

The human race - some members need to have their membership revoked!

Didn't he see the movie Midnight Express? Hasn't he seen the tv series about people who get locked up in foreign countries?

The reasons that underage people are easier to "get" in those countries, are the same reasons American prisoners may find their prisons to be hell on earth.
