(804 posts)and having been on a picket line for 3 or 4 months through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years...I have no doubt than this proposition will pass. Reagan left very anti-union beliefs in California, that seem will never die.
The GOP is just dying to get California on their side, and this, plus voter suppression will probably eventually do it.

(3,992 posts)...but Prop 32 is certainly in play.

(804 posts)but I can see something like Prop 32 winning in CA. Unions are very unpopular as I said. Hell, I went on strike years ago, and out of 150 or so workers, me and 2 others were the only ones on the picket line. The others all crossed the line, and continued working. That was in Orange County, but it still shows how little respect unions get.

(2,574 posts)Everything about De Maio really sends off the Koch alarm bells:
Bottomless advertising funds
Obsessively, single issue budget balancing, anti union
Koch business headquartered in De Maio's city council district
Most rightwing district in San Diego
DeMaio is a product of the Norquist/Heritage non think tanks
Uses democrat instead of democratic as an adjective.
Donna Frye, SD's most respected politician, called DeMaio a 'political sociopath.'
